Bone Fuse
 School  Conj.

This is one of the lost spells of the wizard named Xoth. He created the spell to be especially cruel to those that oppose him. It is an unbelievable painful spell for the the recipient of the spell causing even the toughest of warriors to wail in pain. Only a regeneration and heal spell or limited wish or wish can restore victim to previous status. A dispel magic will stop the spell from completing but not return the user to their previous state. Any effects from the spell remain in effect.

The spell causes the bones of the victim to combine and meld together. Arm bones combine into a twisted controrted arm, fingers curl jointless stuck in one position, ribs join together crushing the lungs. Only the skull is not affected.

Upon failing the saving throw the victim will start losing all hearing, movement, and will become paralyzed. Their appendages, rib cage, joints, and limbs fuse together with neighboring bones. This occurs during a 5 round period.

Round 1: loss of 1/2 movement, no running, any action requires a will check at -5. A concentration check at -5 is required for casting spells. Victim takes 5 points of damage.

Round 2: loss of 2/3 movement, no running, any action or skill roll requires a will check at -10. A concentration check at -10 is required for casting spells. Victim takes 5 points of damage.

Round 3: loss of 3/4 movement, no running, any action or skill roll requires a will check at -15. A concentration check at -15 is required for casting spells. Victim takes 5 points of damage.

Round 4: loss of all movement, any action requires a will check at -20. Victim is deaf. A concentration check at -25 is required for casting spells. Victim takes 5 points of damage.

Round 5: Consider victim paralyzed from here on. The person’s bones are now fused. Victim takes 5 points of damage.
