| Hi, I'm Tegan from Iowa. I'm 18 and proud of being a nerd...and a geek...and a dork...
Here's my bio: Well, I'm used to participating in largely male dominated areas. I read manga, sci-fi, watch anime, like math and science, and am a first-year undergrad majoring in engineering. I used to play with an old game boy and was into the pokemon fad, I also much enjoyed Diablo II. While I now dislike most electronic games (mostly because they're so addicting >.<), I am in love with DnD and have been playing since my older brother first got me to play in my early high school years. At first my older brother would DM for me and my friends, but this proved to be a problem once he moved off to college. I took the initiative and volunteered to take over since no one else was willing, and now am the resident DM when I'm at home. At college I found a lovely group (alas, I am the only female) that I play with about once a week, and I am more than willing to let someone else lead an adventure.
When DMing, I loved to create new worlds and adventures. I would basically develop my own quests, catered to my players (all of whom I'm very close to). The core group stays the same three people - my roommate at college/best friend, my younger brother, and a male friend of mine who basically looks like the sterotypical white and nerdy male. I love them all to pieces, and especially love the fun we have. At one point in an adventure, we were in battle:
Me: Ooo....ouch. He takes a good hit with his axe and nails you, slicing across your torso. Okay, Max, take *roll* ...7 points of damage
Max(brother): oh, dammit! I'm at negative HP
Charlie(white 'n' nerdy): I will avenge your death!
Max: I'm not dead, I'm just unconscious.
Charlie: ... I will avenge your unconsciousness! (with much too much enthusiasm :P)
The majority of the gaming I do anymore is at college, where I'm currently playing a level 3 half-orc barbarian - Neega. I love making characters and playing them more than DMing. My DM asked us to make background stories, and of course I already thought of a huge, tragic tale. I practically wrote an essay and sent it to him. I hope he doesn't resent me for that...
